KUWAIT: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) conducted a study on the unequal demographic structure, reports Al- Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed the study suggested non-issuance, renewal and transfer of work permits or residence permits for expatriate private sector employees who hold certificates lower than diploma and reached to 65 years old.
Sources said the study was referred to Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Development Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh. Sources added the study recommended exemption of experienced expatriate workers, especially those with technical specializations, according to the actual manpower need and humanitarian considerations.
It is expected to issue a decision regarding the recommendations after consulting the Cabinet.
