MoH exempts expats from paying fees for cardiac catheterization

KUWAIT: The Minister of Health Dr Bassel Al-Sabah has issued a ministerial decree exempting non-Kuwaiti patients with acute heart attack and the high risk MSTEML and STEMI from cardiac catheterization, which is performed in emergency cases at hospitals and health centers of the Ministry of Health from paying fees for the process, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The second article of the decision states that these cases are determined according to the prescribed form, approved by the treating physician, the head of the unit and the head of the concerned medical department. Meanwhile, the president of the Kuwait Surgeon’s Society, the head of the surgery department at Jaber Hospital Dr Salman Al-Sabah, has performed 200 surgical operations since January and until now in all specialties of surgery.
